Police officers recently gave a shiny red tricycle to 8-year-old Lara Startup, a cerebral palsy patient whose bike was stolen in June.
Lara is a Romanian orphan who, with her twin brother, Andru, was adopted nearly 10 years ago by Rebecca Startup. Officer Trung Nguyen was so moved by Lara’s story that he took it upon himself to raise the money to replace the tricycle.
