Fortino Rivera
Century, Football
Rivera’s five touchdowns and 230 yards rushing carried Century to a 38-13 rout of Whittier and helped the Centurions match last year’s victory total of two. Rivera averaged 9.2 yards a carry and had touchdown runs of 10, one, six, 39 and 56 yards. As a defensive back, he intercepted a pass, his fourth of the season. He has rushed for 801 yards and scored 71 points.

Esperanza, Football
A junior backup, he passed for 238 yards and four touchdowns in Aztecs’ 47-32 victory over Bloomington.
* Iman Nikzad
Aliso Niguel, Football
A senior, he had a 63-yard punt return and runs of 50, 63 and 67 yards for touchdowns against Orange.
Vanessa Kelly
Marina, Cross-Country
Kelly, a junior, is peaking at the right time. She won the Division I varsity race in 18:56 at the Central Park Invitational in Huntington Beach last Saturday. She easily outdistanced Kelly
Sleeth of Torrance (19:08). Kelly won the Long Beach Millikan senior race last month (18:58) and had the top time among county runners of 17:32 at the Dana Hills Invitational two weeks ago.
* Kelly Brockman
Huntington Beach, Volleyball
A senior, she led Oilers to victories over No. 4 Esperanza (18 kills) and Fountain Valley (14 kills).
* Kelly Six
Esperanza, Tennis
The junior won 35 of 36 sets in Sunset League victories.
