Linebacker Jake Scott of Buena High has been cleared to play today against Rio Mesa.

Scott, the team’s leading tackler last season, sat out the Bulldogs’ 42-27 loss to Westlake last week.

“I’m pretty excited about having him back,” Coach Rick Scott said. “He gives us a coach on the field.”

The news wasn’t all good for Buena. Cornerback Ryan Cobos, an all-league selection last season, is questionable because of an undetermined allergic reaction.
