CARLSBAD, N.M. — Two German air force jets collided over southeastern New Mexico on Friday and the four pilots ejected safely, state police said.
The accident involved two German Tornado aircraft, an Air Force spokeswoman said.
The pilots were taken to the Carlsbad Medical Center, state police Sgt. Rick Anglada said. He said they appeared to be in good shape.
Holloman Air Force Base in south-central New Mexico has been the training site for German air force pilots for years.
