Public Funds

I keep hearing about $200 million wasted on this Belmont Learning Complex project. A few years ago the city of L.A. spent over $300 million constructing a facility to process and burn sewage solids (for electricity production). Upon completion they realized the technology didn’t work and demolished most of the Hyperion Energy Recovery System project. Compare the original HERS specifications to current operations!
I find it interesting that public officials are willing to waste more money in failing to process sewage solids than they are in failing to build a first-rate high school!
