The Planning Commission unanimously approved the next phase of development for the Village Alipaz site at a recent meeting.
The commission approved a site map for what will eventually be a development of 104 single-family homes.
The new development will combine with a 50-house project approved by the City Council in November to form a 22-acre, 154-house development.
The commissioners also gave Irvine-based Village Alipaz LLC the architectural design rights to the houses.
The site currently holds a recreational vehicle storage lot and a strawberry field, both of which will be cleared out to make way for the development, according to city staff reports.
