Vanguard 7, The Master’s 6--The Mustangs had 11 hits but left 13 runners on base in a nonconference loss at The Master’s.
Luke Kollman and Kurt Fillmore hit home runs for Master’s (24-7).
Bakersfield 8, Pierce 6--Kris Dominique had a three-run home run, five runs batted in and scored twice for the Brahmas (15-11, 11-7) in a Western State Conference Southern Division loss at Pierce.
Canyons 19, Valley 9--Ethan Slimak had a home run, three RBIs and scored three times, and Chris Mayberry hit a grand slam to highlight an eight-run fourth inning for the Cougars (16-11, 12-6) in a WSC Southern Division victory at Canyons.
Glendale 4, Citrus 3--Andy Lopez hit a two-run double in the first inning for the Dynamiters (13-16-1, 8-10) in a WSC Southern Division victory at Glendale.
Vic Herrera got his second save of the season, stranding the potential tying run on third in the last two innings.
Moorpark 17, Oxnard 5--Brian Fatur had three hits, including a grand slam, and finished with five RBIs, and Ryan Martinez had four hits and three RBIs for the Raiders in a WSC Northern Division victory at Moorpark.
Cal Lutheran 11-12, UC San Diego 4-8--Jeff Meyers hit an RBI double in the sixth inning, one of four doubles by the Kingsmen in the second game of a doubleheader at Cal Lutheran.
In the opener, Meyers hit a two-run home run during a four-run seventh.
Tom Galante had a double and three RBIs for Cal Lutheran (18-5) in the second game.
WOMEN’S TENNIS
Cal State Northridge 6, Northern Arizona 0--No. 1 singles player Isabella Peintner defeated Vickie Gunnarsson, 6-3, 3-6, 6-2, during the second round of the Big Sky Pacific Regional at West Hills Racquet Club in Portland, Ore.
Northridge, which is 3-0 in the tournament, will face Weber State today to decide who will be seeded No. 1 for the Big Sky championship.
COLLEGE SOFTBALL
CS Northridge 3-6, Cal Poly SLO 1-4--Veronica Lopez hit a two-run home run to give the Matadors the lead in the fifth inning of the second game of a Big West doubleheader at San Luis Obispo.
Lopez had four hits and four RBIs.
Lopez hit a two-out run-scoring single in the seventh of the first game to put Northridge (20-16, 10-1) ahead, 2-1. She scored on a triple by Jamie Moore.
