Mayor Alta E. Duke and Councilman Paul F. Walker presented former Councilwoman and Mayor Charlene Hatakeyama-Lim with a plaque during last week’s council meeting.
The plaque was in recognition of Hatakeyama-Lim’s receiving an Orange County Human Relations Commission award for her work in establishing Youth 20/20.
More than 150 volunteers have worked with the community-based organization since it began in 1996.
