The party’s over, and now the Democrats have 10 days to clean up Staples Center. They’ll break down their patriotic podium and its jumbo screen, fold up the delegate chairs and rip out the cables and lights in the broadcast booths. On Sept. 1, crews will restore the luxury to Staples’ sky boxes, freeze the ice for the Kings and build a stage for the first Latin Grammys on Sept. 13. The convention will last one more day, however. Before the cleanup starts, a television crew will use the hall Saturday morning as a giant set for NBC’s series “The West Wing.”
