Woman Allegedly Shoots and Kills Husband, 62

LAWNDALE — A woman allegedly shot and killed her 62-year-old husband Monday after a domestic dispute at a residence, authorities said.
The shooting occurred about 6:30 a.m. at 14600 S. Avis Ave., said Deputy Cruz Solis of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department. It was unclear whether the couple lived there.
Albert Andre Mercadel Jr. was pronounced dead at Harbor General Hospital, said coroner’s spokesman Scott Carrier.
Sheriff’s officials said the woman was detained at the home by family members until deputies arrived.
