In other Southern Section semifinals:
Newport Harbor 35, La Mirada 16--Chris Manderino had 30 carries for 278 yards and two touchdowns as the Sailors advanced to the Division VI championship game with a victory over the Matadores.
Newport Harbor quarterback Morgan Craig completed seven of 11 for 128 yards and two touchdowns with five of the completions going to Brian Gaeta. La Mirada was led by quarterback Erik Mayer, who completed 18 of 29 for 188 yards and two touchdowns.
