The Orange County Water District on Tuesday appointed Ed Royce Sr., a Stanton planning commissioner, to represent the county on the Metropolitan Water District of Southern California board. Royce will fill the position vacated by Robert Huntley, who resigned in October. The Metropolitan Water District contracts with state water projects from Ventura to San Diego and is responsible for providing about half of Orange County’s water.
