The Orange County Water District and the Municipal Water District of Orange County will hold a free workshop to explain the implications of Proposition 13, the proposed State Water Bond Act. The workshop will be from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the Orange County Water District headquarters, 10500 Ellis Ave., Fountain Valley.
The two districts are also making a guest speaker available for presentations to local clubs and organizations that would like more information on the proposition. Interested parties should call (714) 378-3217.
Proposition 13 would specifically earmark funds for county projects and require that 60% of the money in many key categories be spent in Southern California.
