In Praise of Flynn
As a director with United Water Conservation District I have had the opportunity to work with Supervisor John Flynn on many occasions. Flynn was instrumental in securing funding for the Freeman Diversion project on the Santa Clara River. Since its completion, United has diverted nearly 100,000 acre-feet of water that would have been sent to the ocean.
Flynn has participated in many community forums to explain the project and its funding mechanisms.
He has also been involved for many years in the battle to fight seawater intrusion on the Oxnard Plain. His involvement with the [Fox Canyon] Groundwater Management Agency has been an important component in this ongoing battle to ensure a salt-free water supply for future generations.
Experience, dedication and proven results. I know that I can always count on John Flynn.
