Riley Scores 16 to Help Woodbridge Rally Past Huntington Beach

Bryn Riley scored 16 points as Woodbridge defeated Huntington Beach, 51-42, in the second round of the Division I-A girls’ basketball playoffs Saturday at Woodbridge.
Lara Gray had 14 points and 11 rebounds and Natalie Quinn had 13 points as Woodbridge (18-9) overcame a six-point halftime deficit.
Amy Sanders scored 13 for the Oilers, who finished 15-14. Woodbridge (17-9) will play San Clemente in a third-round game Wednesday.
In another Division I-A game:
Marina 61, El Monte Arroyo 47--Miranda Emde scored 29 points and had 10 rebounds for the visiting Vikings (20-9), who also got 12 points and 15 rebounds from Nikki Lee.
Mater Dei 54, Villa Park 48--Maile Shimoda scored 10 of her 22 points in the third quarter for host Mater Dei (21-6), which will play Corona Centennial, a 91-36 winner over Palm Springs. Lauren Yadon scored 27 for Villa Park (15-13).
San Clemente 87, Riverside Poly 25--Whitney Jones scored 34 points, breaking a 22-year-old school record for San Clemente (24-3).
Troy 81, Anaheim 29--Veronica Johns-Richardson had 21 points, seven assists and seven steals for No. 2 Troy (24-3).
In Division II-A:
Laguna Hills 64, Hacienda Heights Wilson 36--Megan Aaker scored 22 points, and Shannon Owens had eight points, seven assists and six steals for visiting Laguna Hills (15-13). The Hawks play La Puente Bishop Amat, a 58-27 winner over Brawley
Pacifica 64, Lakewood Mayfair 51--Dominique Valencia scored 20, had six of Pacifica’s 28 steals off its press, and Diana Barreras had 17 points and seven assists. The Mariners are 20-7.
In Divison III-AA:
Rosary 62, Chaminade 53--Maggie Barnett had 17 points, six steals and five assists and Jenise Karcher 14 points for host Rosary (20-9), which plays Inglewood Morningside, a 66-33 winner over San Dimas.
In Division III-A:
Corona del Mar 60, La Canada 49 (OT)--Corona del Mar outscored La Canada in overtime, 14-3, making 12 of 14 free throws. Kristin McCoy scored eight of her team-high 17 points in the extra period. Corona del Mar will play North Hollywood Harvard Westlake, a 75-26 winner over South El Monte.
In Division IV-A:
Calvary Chapel 53, Santa Maria St. Joseph 28--Richel Werdel had 11 points and 10 rebounds and Ruby Viloria had six steals for host Calvary Chapel (17-7).
Orange Lutheran 51, Loma Linda Academy 27--Vanessa Benitez had six points and 12 rebounds for the visiting Lancers (15-8), who play San Pedro Mary Star, a 70-37 winner over Los Angeles Milken.
In Division V-AA:
Brethren Christian 58, Ojai Thacher 24--Heather Spowart had 20 points and 10 rebounds and Sarah Amberry eight points and 13 rebounds for the visiting Warriors (14-13), who play Campbell Hall, a 58-54 winner over Faith Baptist. .
Pasadena Poly 42, Capistrano Valley Christian 33--Bethany Thom and Harvest Sukut each scored 10 points for host Capistrano Valley Christian (20-2).
In Division V-A
Liberty Christian 54, Hesperia Christian 40--Visiting Liberty opened with a 14-0 run, and made 12 of 14 free throws in the fourth quarter. Felicia Jao had 15 points, and seven assists.
