SM&A; Buys Maker of Simulation Software

SM&A; Corp., a Newport Beach aerospace and defense management services company, said Wednesday that it has acquired an Alexandria, Va., simulation software maker.
The price paid for System Simulation Systems Inc. was not disclosed, but SM&A; said in a press release that it consisted of cash, a promissory note and a two-year earn-out, contingent upon the achievement of certain operating results.
System Simulation’s revenue last year was more than $7.5 million. SM&A; reported sales of $79.4 million for the first nine months.
