Web Health Care Firm Announces Funding

BuyMedical.com, a new e-commerce services company for the health-care industry, said Thursday that it has acquired initial funding of $2 million and has formed a partnership with PurchasePro.com, a publicly traded company that provides electronic commerce technology.

BuyMedical.com, based in Aliso Viejo, said in a press release that it picked up its funding from from ThinkTank LLC, an Internet incubator created by Scott Blum, founder of online retailer Buy.com Inc.
