The California-Hawaii Elks Assn. is offering $1,000 vocational grants for the 2000-01 school year. The grants are available to those planning to pursue an eligible vocational or technical course. A high school diploma or GED is not required. Applicants must plan to carry a minimum of 12 semester units throughout the year. Applications are available at the Garden Grove Elks Lodge, 11551 Trask Ave., and are due Jan. 14.
