Students at the middle and high school levels will be able to take new social science courses as part of a new program approved by the Laguna Beach school board on Tuesday.
The new class offerings for the 2000-01 school year were unanimously approved by the board in a course study program that will allow teachers to present course outlines and propose materials yearly for the board’s approval.
The program includes a list of courses and a paragraph description of the ones offered to students at the secondary level, Assistant Supt. Wendy Doty said.
Three new social science classes will be added: world geography, world history and advanced European history.
