Maintenance Seminar to Cover the Basics for Owners, Managers

Homeowners and apartment managers can learn how to assemble toilets and how to take apart thermostats at a maintenance seminar on Saturday.
The seminar will be held from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Apartment Assn. of Greater Los Angeles’ headquarters, 621 S. Westmoreland Ave., Los Angeles. Free parking is available at the site.
Tools will be available at the seminar to take apart and reassemble toilets, faucets, garbage disposals, drains, doorknobs, hot water and gas heaters, and smoke detectors.
The program costs $110 per person or $190 per couple (discounted to $95 and $150 respectively for apartment association members).
