TLC Racks Up Two Soul Train Awards

TLC followed its double Grammy victory with two Soul Train Music Awards on Saturday, picking up trophies in the group, band or duo division for best R&B;/soul album (“FanMail”) and best R&B; single (“No Scrubs”).
Mary J. Blige and DMX were named female and male entertainers of the year, and R. Kelly’s “R.” took R&B;/soul or rap album of the year honors. Whitney Houston and the former Prince received Artist of the Decade awards at the 14th annual show, held at the Shrine Auditorium.
Other winners included Juvenile Featuring Manny Fresh and Lil’ Wayne for best new artist for “Back That Azz Up,” Blige for best female R&B;/soul album and Ginuwine for best male R&B;/soul album.
