60 Employers to Seek Workers at Job Fair

Job seekers and recruiters will converge on Valley College’s Monarch Square on Wednesday for Job Fair 2000.
Representatives from 60 businesses, government agencies and children’s programs will share with potential employees information about current and future openings during the fair, which runs from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., officials said.
Among the employers scheduled to participate are Pacific Bell, FedEx Ground, Mony Life Insurance Co./The Mony Group, Tupperware, Circuit City, California Highway Patrol, San Fernando Police Department and Griffith Park Boys Camp, officials said.
Applicants are encouraged to prepare for the job fair by taking part in a series of career workshops Monday and Tuesday at the college, officials said. Topics include job interviewing, job searching, resume writing, dressing for success and making career changes.
The workshops and the job fair are free and open to the public.
