The City Council will discuss whether to recommend amending the City Charter today.
Possible changes include increasing the compensation of the mayor from $1,000 to $2,500 per month and that of City Council members from $1,000 to $2,000 per month, eliminating term limits mandated by voters in 1992 for the mayor and council members, and limiting the Anaheim Firefighters Assn. to use binding interest arbitration in their contract negotiations.
Any recommendations made by the council will be put to voters for approval.
