The City Council is scheduled to vote Tuesday on whether to allow Caltrans to erect a an electronic message sign on the southbound side of Interstate 5 near Ortega Highway.
A staff report recommends that the council deny the sign, which would warn motorists about traffic conditions, because it is too close to a major entry into the city’s historic district.
The sign would replace portable detour signs often used during the winter.
The council will meet at 7 p.m. at 32400 Paseo Adelanto.
