GenSci OrthoBiologics Inc., an Irvine bone research firm, said Tuesday that it has filed an antitrust suit against Osteotech Inc., alleging that its rival is using its market dominance of human tissue to control the market for bone implants.
The federal lawsuit filed in Los Angeles accuses the Eatontown, N.J., company of monopolization, attempted monopolization, monopoly leveraging and unlawful exclusive dealing in violation of federal antitrust laws. The complaint also alleges unfair competition under state law.
