Firecracker Factory Blast Kills 33 in China

BEIJING — An explosion in an unlicensed firecracker factory in eastern China killed 33 people and injured 10 others, two seriously, state media said.
The explosion ripped through the workshop in a village outside Pingxiang on Saturday morning, the official New China News Agency reported.
The report said that the factory, owned by two farmers, did not have a license and that the cause of the explosion was under investigation.
