Re “Backers Defend Ojai Mayor, Ask Council to Get Along,” April 26.
What a beautiful display of democracy. I was surprised how silent the room got after Councilman Steve Olsen made his motion to oust our mayor. To borrow a saying from across the pond, God save the queen.
I hope the April 25 meeting will be the start of a new era in the Ojai Valley. It is always a beautiful sight in my eyes when the public gets involved and makes a difference.
Thumbs up to the citizens of the Ojai Valley. It is my hope that this issue will be a catalyst to get more people involved in our city.
Just one more quick thought: Mayor Suza Francina showed absolute grace in the way she handled this meeting. I don’t know if I could have kept such a charming smile on my face while my head was being placed on the chopping block.
