Flooding Kills 1, Closes Highways

Flood waters poured into Tulsa and several other eastern towns in Oklahoma, killing a woman, filling homes and businesses and affecting hundreds of families in a four-county area. Tulsa reported 6 inches of rain, and the Oklahoma Highway Patrol said at least three state highways were closed by flood waters, mudslides or washed-out bridges. Marilyn Cory, 53, was killed after the car she was driving to work was caught up in flood water.
