Robert Johnson, founder of BET Inc., considered the largest black-owned and operated media and entertainment company in the United States, will discuss ways African Americans can succeed in the entertainment industry today in Beverly Hills. Johnson, who is also BET’s chairman and chief executive, has been named one of the 20 most-influential people in the cable industry. His company’s holdings include five cable channels.
