First Consulting Group, a Long Beach health-care consultancy, has acquired the Web site and e-commerce design division of privately held Doghouse Productions of Seattle for $4 million in cash and stock, executives said. The division, renamed FCG Doghouse, would provide complete site design and operation services to health-care and technology clients out of offices in Seattle and Vienna, Va., and could later expand into Los Angeles, Denver and Chicago. First Consulting Chief Executive Luther Nussbaum said the firm paid $2 million in cash and $2 million in FCG shares. The new unit will be headed by Roy Ziegler, formerly an executive vice president in charge of FCG’s “e-strategy” practices. In 1999, FCG had revenue of $237.6 million. FCG shares lost 25 cents to close at $8.63 on Nasdaq.
