The City Council has adopted an ordinance that will prohibit development in Stanton Plaza on Beach Boulevard until May 8, 2001, so city staff can begin developing a plan for the area. City Manager Terry Matz said Stanton Plaza suffers from piecemeal development and needs attention to make it an attractive center.
