National Cemetery

Congratulations and thank you to those responsible for the renovation of the National Cemetery in Westwood (“Volunteers Do Honor to Veterans Cemetery,” May 23). We have lived in Westwood for more than 20 years and have watched the deterioration (you called it “shabby”) of the cemetery. The redesign of the memorial at Wilshire and Veteran signaled the start of an overdue renovation, which has been beautifully carried out. The neighborhood, our city and the memory of the veterans are all the beneficiaries.
