Schools in the La Habra Unified School District will be collecting nonperishable canned or dried food until Nov. 28 as part of their Operation Santa program.
The program, which will begin with a food drive, is co-hosted by the school district and the Fire Department. Food donations will be accepted at city fire stations and at the Community Center. Volunteers are needed to sort the donations and wrap gifts.
Wrapping will take place at the old American Savings Bank at the Market Place Shopping Center, 1130 W. Imperial Highway. Volunteer hours are from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday and from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturdays. To volunteer or for more information call David De Leon at (562) 905-9708.
