The Serrano Creek Conservancy has approved a plan to restore a section of the creek running between Trabuco and Bake parkways.
The conservancy’s plan includes repairing erosion damage by adding rocks to the creek’s banks. The group also wants to plant native vegetation along its shores to attract wildlife. Conservancy leaders will hold a meeting in January to present the plan publicly.
City, county and state funds are expected to pay for it.
Conservancy founder Matt Rayl said the group hopes to begin the project in the summer.
