* Mail-metering giant Pitney Bowes Inc. said its third-quarter earnings would be in the range of 62 to 63 cents a share, below the 65 cents a share analysts had expected. The Stamford, Conn.-based company also lowered its full-year 2000 earnings projection to $2.44 to $2.48 per share, before one-time items, citing competition in the office products space and weakness of foreign currencies.
