* Re “Buchanan Immigration Ad Met With Quick Criticism,” Oct. 10: It concerns me that at the same time that First Lady Hillary Clinton says that donations to the Democratic Party benefit this country, and when federal facilities have allegedly been used to boost such donations, Art Torres, chairman of the California Democratic Party, has problems with the Reform Party spending its federal election funds on a message he disagrees with. What’s even more concerning is that he and some other leaders quoted seem more interested in suppressing the message rather than in engaging in polemics with its contents. Are we witnessing the dusk of freedom of speech in America?
