Council members decided last week to discuss a $1-million claim against the city by former resident Mary Laureles in a future closed session.
Laureles, 44, now a Placentia resident, alleges that a Garden Grove police officer assaulted her in February in front of her ex-girlfriend’s house in the 10300 block of Patricia Drive.
