WOODLAND HILLS — A 39-year-old La Crescenta man was killed early Friday morning after losing control of his pickup truck on the Ventura Freeway, the California Highway Patrol said.
Glenn Francis Einarsen, 39, was driving his Chevrolet pickup east on the freeway near DeSoto Avenue in Woodland Hills when it spun out of control, ran off the road and hit a tree just after 1 a.m. Paramedics responded but Einarsen died at the scene.
Authorities said it was raining, but they were not sure what caused Einarsen to lose control of the vehicle.
