Los Alamitos 28, Lawndale Leuzinger 20--Joe Garcia rushed for 115 yards and scored three touchdowns to lead the Griffins at Long Beach Veterans Stadium.
Garcia scored on runs of 41, six, and one yard as Los Alamitos (3-0) preserved its decade-long winning streak in nonleague games. Los Alamitos hasn’t lost one since 1990.
With 33 seconds remaining in the first half and the Griffins leading 14-12, Garcia scored his second touchdown on a six-yard run.
The Griffins put the game away late in the third quarter when Garcia capped a 93-yard drive with a one-yard touchdown run for a 28-12 lead.
