OCC’s Mojica to Play for San Francisco State

Former Orange Coast College basketball player Nadia Mojica has announced that she has accepted a scholarship to play for San Francisco State.
Mojica, who played at Marina High, averaged 9.5 points and 8.7 rebounds last season for OCC.
* Western High basketball player Candyee McMorris has been invited to compete in the USA Junior Nationals Sports Festival, July 23-29, in Atlanta.
SOCCER
Ian Woodhead has been hired as the first full-time women’s soccer coach at Santiago Canyon College, the school announced.
Woodhead was hired part-time before the 2000 season. He previously coached at Lakewood Mayfair High and was an assistant at Cypress College and Long Beach City College.
GOLF
Will Park, a senior at Riverside Poly High, has committed to UC Irvine, he said Friday.
Park was a member of a Poly team that won the Southern Section Eastern Divisional championship last year and was third in the CIF-SCGA championships.
