* As a frequent driver to Las Vegas I am always irritated by, and cannot understand, the purpose of the agricultural stop that all drivers have to put up with on returning to California. This stop is a few miles up I-15 from Barstow and does nothing but back up traffic, especially on days following weekends and holidays. You come to an almost complete stop, they ask if you have any fruit (who is going to say yes?), then wave you on. You could move the Garden of Eden through there!
