Awards in Store for O.C. Arts Figures

Honoring individuals for lifetime achievement, Arts Orange County will present the Helena Modjeska Cultural Legacy awards to Don Laffoon and Victoria Bryan, founders of the STOP-GAP theater company, in the category of artistic visionaries; Chuck Jones, animator, in the artist category; and the Harry and Grace Steele Foundation and Mary M. Muth, philanthropic patrons, in the category of community visionaries.
The recipients will be saluted Thursday at the Arts Orange County second annual awards dinner at the Four Seasons hotel in Newport Beach. A reception is at 6:30 p.m., and the awards program begins at 7:15 p.m. Organizers will also announce their annual achievement awards for outstanding arts organization, outstanding artist, outstanding patron, outstanding volunteer and outstanding educator.
