Corona del Mar Edges University in Tennis

Corona del Mar, ranked No. 1 in Orange County boys’ tennis, edged Pacific Coast League rival University on Monday, winning on games, 79-72, after the teams tied in sets, 9-9, at University.
Garrett Snyder and Randy Myers, playing at No. 3 doubles, swept their sets for the Sea Kings (16-0, 9-0). University, ranked eighth in the county, is 12-7, 7-2.
In Sea View League boys’ golf:
Irvine 193, No. 8 Woodbridge 202--J.J. Johnston, who made an eagle, and Chris Lavery, who had three birdies, each shot par 36 for the Vaqueros (8-7, 3-3) at Oak Creek. Woodbridge is 9-3, 4-2.
