* Update--Looking for their first victories, both teams will try different quarterbacks tonight. The Avengers’ Todd Marinovich suffered a neck injury in last week’s loss to the Houston Thunderbears and still is hobbled by an ankle injury, so Coach Stan Brock will start Erik Wilhelm, who passed for 147 yards and three touchdowns in relief of Marinovich last week. The Rattlers’ Sherdrick Bonner suffered torn knee cartilage during last week’s loss at San Jose, underwent surgery and will be replaced by Chad May. The Avengers also are without two linemen because of injuries, so on Wednesday they activated Tyrone Gunn from the practice squad and signed free-agent Toney Catchings.
