Here Comes the Sun

The flight of Helios was awe-inspiring (“A Summertime High,” editorial, Aug. 19). This quiet, nonpolluting visitor to the stratosphere should be recognized and cheered.
In a time of gas-guzzlers and massive power consumption, people (especially here in California) should stand and take notice of what can be achieved with the power of the sun.
I must admit, I’m a little bit biased. I helped to build the airplane!
