‘Pay It Forward’

Thank you to the man with the Jack Russell terrier and the golden retriever at Montana and Bundy who gave his umbrella to a family on their way to the Getty Center who were caught unprepared for the cold, unfriendly storm that blew in last Saturday morning.

Saying, “You need this more than I do,” he handed us a red, white and blue umbrella and walked on. That gesture put a soft spot for Los Angeles in our Northern California hearts. We plan to “pay it forward” and pass on the umbrella next time we see someone who needs it more than we do.
