Jacksonville State Is Routed by Alabama

Antoine Pettway scored 20 points to lead five Alabama players in double figures as the No. 22 Crimson Tide defeated Jacksonville State, 99-57, Friday night at Tuscaloosa, Ala.
Earnest Shelton scored 17 points, Terrance Meade 14, Erwin Dudley 13, and Maurice Williams 10 for Alabama (7-2), which led by as many as 50--at 97-47 with 2:53 left.
The Crimson Tide shot 50.8% to 37.3% for Jacksonville State (1-4).

Angie Welle scored 25 points, Tracy Gahan had 22 and both reached double figures in rebounds as No. 5 Iowa State (8-0) rolled to a 95-58 victory against winless Niagara (0-8) at Ames, Iowa. ... Ashley Augspurger had 15 points and nine rebounds as No. 18 Colorado State (7-1) scored a 65-48 victory against Xavier (4-5) at Columbus, Ohio. ... Hamchetou Maiga had 14 points and 17 rebounds to give No. 24 Old Dominion (4-3) a 65-52 victory against Seton Hall (6-3) at Norfolk, Va.
