Lakewood Artesia 57, Irvine Woodbridge 43--Woodbridge, undefeated last year until the Southern Section semifinals and unbeaten this year, succumbed to third-quarter turnovers and a quicker Artesia team in the semifinals of the Artesia tournament.

Fourteenth-ranked Woodbridge (8-1) trailed at halftime, 26-25, but committed 11 turnovers in the third quarter against No. 3 Artesia’s 3-2 half-court press, and made only two of six field goals in the quarter.Ervin scored 22 points and grabbed 17 rebounds to lead Artesia (7-1), which plays Long Beach Poly tonight at 8:45 in the championship game.
