Re “Death Sentence Reversed for Ex-Black Panther,” Dec. 19:
Although the year 2001 began dismally (the swearing-in of our “selected” president) and made its mark with an unmitigated tragedy (the Sept. 11 attacks), it appears that it will at least end on a somewhat higher note (the Dec. 12 arrest of JDL leader Irv Rubin and the death sentence reversal for Mumia Abu-Jamal by a federal court judge in Philadelphia). Finally, some good news!
