Hearn Upgraded, Condition Stable

Laker announcer Chick Hearn continued his rapid recovery from Wednesday’s open-heart surgery, and was upgraded Saturday to stable condition at Northridge Hospital Medical Center. He was to receive a blood transfusion Saturday.
Hearn is expected to be released from the hospital in a few days.
